研究概况

1. 互联网测量和数据分析。随着互联网的规模和复杂性的快速发展,人类理解互联网的结构、动态变化和脆弱性等特征的难度也越来越大。我们有必要对互联网进行系统的测量和数据分析,以加深人类对互联网运行情况的理解,从而能够优化互联网的服务性能。该研究包含测量算法研究、测量基础设施部署、测量数据采集和共享、测量数据分析以及基于测量结果的性能优化等多个角度。最近该方向的研究主要集中在互联网路由的地理安全性分析,基于大规模主动测量,对互联网路由的地理绕行、各个国家流量的路由依赖性进行分析,指出安全隐患和改进的可能方法。

2. 重叠网或广域网资源调度和性能优化。近年来,各种建立在互联网基础上的单一机构大规模私有网络陆续出现,如各种Overlay、多站点数据中心和CDN等网络。这些网络由单一机构运行,能够在互联网的基础上,通过重叠网路由或中央控制的资源调度算法,对网络的资源利用和服务性能进行优化。近年来的研究主要包括:1)数据中心内的多播和广播路由优化。2)数据中心站点间(DC WAN)的网络资源调度。3)P2P等应用层路由的流量建模分析。

3. 互联网经济分析。互联网的发展是多利益相关方(ISP、ICP、终端用户、政府等)的博弈结果,受到技术、经济和政策等多种因素的影响。该研究基于博弈论,对利益相关方的各种行为进行建模,研究这些互联网参与者的优化行为如何最终决定互联网结构或路由等。最近的研究主要包括:1)应用层路由对域间互联和路由决策的影响。对应用层路由进行流量建模,使用博弈论分析不同流量模式对互联网结构的影响;2)互联价值评估模型。针对运营商之间的互联争议,综合考虑运营商的性能、价格、内容、用户、以及在互联网拓扑中的位置,评估该运营商的互联价值。
