Research Status

My major research direction is creating a trustworthy Next Generation Internet architecture with Source Address Validation Architecture. Since 2013, I've published over 50 papers and 2 monographs, and finished numerous strategic research reports on the Next Generation Internet. I've led 9 projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program and the National Natural Science Fund. I got the 2020 Chinese Institute of Electronics Scientific and Technological Progress Special Prize, ranked 5th.
I've concentrated on key issues in Source Address Validation Architecture, including the difficulty of tracing user authenticity, the lack of a universal validation mechanism in heterogeneous access networks that's transparent to terminal protocol stacks, and the significant differences in binding anchors available across diverse terminal types and access modes, which hinder unification. I've achieved end-network collaboration in the Source Address Validation Architecture (SAVA) and developed a comprehensive SAVA - A solution for access network source address validation. I've led the scale deployment of Source Address Validation Architecture in Tsinghua University's campus network and the CERNET2 backbone.
