Research Status

My academic research focuses on next-generation Internet architecture and Cybersecurity. As the project leader, I have led multiple projects,including those under the National Key R&D Program of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and other ministerial-level programs. I have published nearly one hundred high-quality papers. I have been awarded one First Prize of The State Scientific and Technological Progress Award, one Special Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, and one Frist Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Chinese Institute of Electronics
My research primarily focuses on key technologies for next-generation Internet real source address validation architecture (SAVA). I have addressed critical scientific challenges within SAVA, such as the difficulty of tracing user authenticity; the lack of a universal validation mechanisms that is transparent to terminal protocol stacks from different kinds of access networks; and the difficulty in unifying authentication due to diverse terminal types and significant differences in available binding anchors across various terminal types and access modes. I developed a comprehensive SAVA-A solution for access network source address validation, and guided product implementations by Huawei, H3C, and other vendors based on this solution. I led the large-scale deployment of SAVA in Tsinghua University campus network, CERNET2 backbone network.
I am responsible for the operation and management of the China Education and Research Network - CERNET and CERNET2 backbone networks. I participated in the construction and management of the Future Internet Technology Infrastructure (FITI), a national major science and technology infrastructure project. Leveraging national critical information infrastructures such as CERNET2 and FITI, I help drive the formation of a next-generation Internet industry-academia-research collaborative innovation platform involving hundreds of universities, operators, and equipment manufacturers, serving the national strategy of building a strong cyber power.
