本人主要研究方向是基于真实源地址验证的安全可信下一代互联网体系结构。2013年以来发表论文50余篇，出版专著2部，完成多项下一代互联网战略研究报告。作为项目负责人承担国家重点研发项目、自然科学基金等9项。获得2020年电子学会科技进步特等奖（排名第5）

重点研究源地址验证体系结构中存在的用户真实性难以追溯问题；接入网异构多样，缺乏对终端协议栈透明的普适的验证机制，以及终端类型多样，不同接入模式可用的绑定锚差别大，难以统一等科学难题，实现了真实源地址验证体系结构SAVA的端网协同，并形成了一套完整的接入网内源地址验证技术解决方案SAVA-A，负责完成了真实源地址验证技术在清华大学校园网、CERNET2主干网的规模部署。
